As a public-sector institution, the IAF does not work for profit or commercial purposes in a strict sense. Our high level of expertise and flexibility allows us to efficiently coordinate and realize complex development projects under one central roof.

Application-oriented – close to the market and often locally based – efficient – flexible – interdisciplinary

In cooperations, we act as reviewers, guides and advisers. We take on development tasks and accelerate innovative solutions for new developments. The University also cooperates with industry, business and other public institutions in multi-year research projects or pilot projects, or to demonstrate the market proximity of new components and systems.

Many forms of cooperation are possible, but they all offer the confidentiality protection and neutrality characterizing a public-sector institution. Furthermore, cooperation with us opens doors to public subsidies and funding from national as well as international organizations that are only accessible through the partnership with the University.
